To arouse awareness about this disease a fair is jointly organized by Rotary Club, Udaipur and Hindustan Zinc Limited, Vedanta Group on 13th November at Town Hall, Udaipur and thousands of people are expected to participate in it.

 

Diabetes Week: Diabetic Fair at Town HallIt is no exaggeration if we say diabetes is the mother of many diseases and obesity and changing lifestyle are mainly responsible for it.

Many researches are going on in the field of medical science and scientists have succeeded in discovering that fossil which can help in preventing Diabetes though it will take some more years to get complete success in it but it’s true that diabetes can be prevented to a great extent by balanced diet and life style.

To arouse awareness about this disease a fair is jointly organized by Rotary Club, Udaipur and Hindustan Zinc Limited, Vedanta Group on 13th November at Town Hall, Udaipur and thousands of people are expected to participate in it.

In a seminar organized at Rotary Bajaj Bhawan by Rotary Club, Udaipur and Indian Medical Association, Endocrinologist Dr. D.C. Sharma said, “Insulin, which acts as a life line for juvenile diabetic was discovered by Dr. Banting in the year 1922 which had resulted in a decline in death rate of children suffering from diabetes.”

He further added that diabetes in expecting mothers can give rise to complications in the offspring. On this occasion Dr. Sunil Chug, President, IMA; Dr. Anand Gupta, Secretary; IMA and other doctors including Dr. Kamla Kanwari also expressed their views.

Rotary Club President, Dr. Nirmal Kunawat said that during Diabetic Week, Diabetes Fair is organized at Town Hall on 13 Nov. which will start at 8 am in the morning. Free Blood Sugar test will be conducted and free breakfast and tea will be available at the stalls.

However, various organizations like Art of Living will present programmes on the stage highlighting various ways to control and prevent diabetes. This will be followed by an informative session by the team of specialists from Udaipur and outside.

In the exhibition girls of Home Science College will exhibit Food for Diabetics and companies will be there with latest equipments to measure this disease. A poster competition will also be organized for students.
