A grand celebration was held on Saturday, 14th April at the Tehkhana Restaurant by the city’s Women’s group Divas for completing the 2^nd year of its inception in 2010.  Hundreds of Divas members gathered to show their support and gratitude towards each other.

The event also consisted of an awards ceremony in honor of the members chosen for their respective expertise in the fields of Art, Fashion, Business, Health and other subjects.  As every event hosted by Divas is theme based, this one was termed as ‘Red Carpet Divas Award’

While explaining more about the big bash, Bhuvneshwari Shaktawat, one of the founders of Divas told UT, “We are proud to complete 2 years of great success and look forward to the coming days.”

“Our club members are very creative and talented and have taken active participation in all the activities that we conducted over the years,” said Bhuvneshwari.

Awards like Supportive Diva, Athletic Diva, Sturdy Diva, Proactive Diva, Spicy Diva, Jodi of the Year, Runner up of the Year, Silent Performer, Humble Diva, Enterprising Diva, Active Diva and Creative Diva were awarded to women who have given outstanding contributions in their respective fields, explained Bhuvneshwari.

Divas is an exclusive group of young women professionals and housewives.  The group, formally known as Divas RBS was founded in 2010 with 50 members.  The group has crossed 100 members and opens it membership once in a year.

Besides all its parties and celebrations, the prime objective of the group is to give a platform for women of Udaipur to showcase their talents and an opportunity to express their personality as well as to re-energise their character.
