In a case of getting drunk while on duty, a Police Constable created a scene in a prime location of the city after getting drunk beyond manageable limits, to an extent that he was unable to even walk on his own.

The heavily drunk constable was lying on the ground near a shop located close to Surajpol Police Chowki, while a crowd of passersby gathered to witness the scene and made a displeasing situation look amusing.

After nearly an hour of entertainment witnessed by the onlookers, another policeman came and took away his partially unconscious colleague.

According to sources, the constable Veer Singh is posted at Surajpol Chowki and is a habitual drinker.

Today at around 11 in the morning, he reached the Surajpol chowki and sat outside a shop near the chowki. Seeing his condition, a few people made him sit outside another shop and then started a mockery, which continued over the next one hour.

The relevant authorities at the Police Station declined to comment on the matter.
