MPUAT Science Fair and Exotic Flowers, Fruits and Vegetable exhibition was organized by Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) today on 28^th February at Rajasthan Agriculture College (RCA) Udaipur.

The fair was inaugurated at 11am by Dr. S.S Chahal, Vice-chancellor of MPUAT. Dr. P.L Malival (Director MPUAT) , Dr. S.R Maalu (Dean RCA), Dr. N.S. Rathore (Dean CTAE), Dr. Aarti Sankhla (Dean, Home Science College), Dr. Maya Choudhary (Dean, Dairy Science and Technology), Dr. Vimal Sharma (Dean, Fishery College), Dr.P.K Gupta (General Secretary) and Bhupesh Mathur (Financial Head) were also present on the occasion.

Various stalls of pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, H.D pipes, tractors and banks were put up in the fete. In all there were 1216 participants in the fair including 150 of Cut flowers, 200 of fruits, 700 of vegetables, 100 of foliage plant and 65 participants of ornamented plants.

Various ingredients, products and agricultural technology was exhibited for the visiting farmers with the help of models and live plants and animals.

Dr. G.K. Chadha, Vice- Chancellor of South Asian University also inaugurated the statue of Maharana Pratap at RCA on the occasion of this fair. The statue weighs around 1.5 ton and cost Rs. 12 lakhs.

Coordinator of the fair, Dr. I.J Mathur informed, “Various technical sessions on the basic theme of the fair ‘Integrated Agriculture and Fertilizer Security’ was attended by framers from 11 districts of Rajasthan.”
