Udaipur, February 22, 2025 - To address the water needs of the city during the summer months, water released from the Akodra Dam on February 13 continues to flow into the city’s lakes. Now that Lake Pichola has filled up, water was diverted by the Water Resources Department via the Link Canal into Fateh Sagar yesterday starting10:00 am.

The plan is to bring 130 MCFT of water from Akodra Dam to bring the water levels of both Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar lakes to 11 feet each.

Fateh Sagar was at 8.10 feet level at 8:00 am and by evening, it was at a level of nine feet following the inflow of water. Total capacity of the lake is 13 feet.

The gates of the dam is currently open eight inches, allowing 250 cusecs (cubic foot of water per second) of water to flow into Lake Pichola.
