Bhuwana situated Celebration Mall conducted a mock drill on fire safety to check the response of the personnel in case of a mishap and the time taken for the mall administration to evacuate the shoppers.

The fire tender reached the mall to conduct a staged fire-rescue operation. The building was evacuated and the firefighters organized the drills. They extinguished the staged fire at the third floor, saved the wounded people and carried them on a stretcher to the ambulance.

The people inside the mall were saved and taken to a safe place. The drill was conducted to know about the shortcomings in case an emergency arose here. Although it was planned, but the firefighters initiated the rescue work just like they would in a real situation.

Operation Head of Mall, Sunil Arya said that the government departments completely cooperated in the mock drill operation including fire fighters, police department. Team of SHO Harinder Singh, ASP-SSB VIkram Singh, SSB Survir Singh, DSP Brijlal and chief medical officer Dr. Pranav Prasad collaborated in the drill.

The drill however, created a panic through social media messages and pictures calling it a bomb threat at the mall which turned out to be a mock drill.
