Parents Pride, the nursery branch of Central Academy School, Sardarpura organized a Grandparent’s Day today. Commencing the program, grandparents received a traditional welcome from the kids of nursery class.

A series of activities were organized for the grandparents, like assembling bangles of same colors from a heap of different colored bangles, holding maximum straws between fingers gap, arranging coins on edge of a glass, putting similar buttons in a safety pin, arranging match stick in a triangle and chair race.

Bhagwanti and Mangilal Purbia, grandparents of Hiral Purbia of Nursery said, “We are enjoying our time playing each and every game with our granddaughter. This is for the first time that we have attended any such event and it feels great to be here.”

Winner of the games were presented a souvenir from the school and all the grandparents were invited on the stage to express their views for the day and the school.

Dr. Hema Chhabra, Principal of the school shared, “We hardly get to see and meet grandparents of our students as many of them don’t come to pick and drop the children nor they attend parents-teachers meet, through Grandparents Day we tried to organise a pleasant get-together.”

Dr. Chhabra also informed that the students who excelled in various activities conducted in this academic year were awarded for their performances.

Today grandparents of nursery students were invited, while tomorrow and day after tomorrow is grandparent’s day for LKG and Prep students respectively.
