‘Animal Nutrition Lab’ under ‘All India Coordinated Research Project on Increased Utilization of Animal Energy with Enhanced System Efficiency’ was inaugurated at the Department of Farm Machinery & Power Engineering, CTAE, Udaipur; today on 21st February 2012.

‘Animal Nutrition Lab’ under ‘All India Coordinated Research Project on Increased Utilization of Animal Energy with Enhanced System Efficiency’ was inaugurated at the Department of Farm Machinery & Power Engineering, CTAE, Udaipur; today on 21st February 2012.

Prof. (Dr.) Jai Rup Singh founder Vice Chancellor of Central University of Punjab, Bathinda inaugurated the laboratory in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Chahal, Vice Chancellor, MPUAT, Udaipur. Dr. Narendra S. Rathore, Dean, CTAE; Dr. P.L. Maliwal, Director Reseacrh, MPUAT; Dr. S.R. Maloo, Dean, Rajasthan College of Agriculture; Dr. Vimal Sharma, Dean College of Fisheries; Dr. Maya Chaudhary, Dean, CDFST and Dr. P.K. Gupta, Registrar, MPUAt, Udaipur were also present during the programme.

Dr. G.S Tiwari, Head, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering explained about the importance of this scheme for farmers in Rajasthan. Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Incharge of the laboratory also added that, the laboratory will be useful for feed and fodder analysis so that balance ration will be formulated for improved work performance of the animals on sustainable basis.

A live demonstration of Rotary mode of operation was also detailed and was appreciated much. They also visited different schemes running in the department viz., Ergonomics and Safety in Agriculture AICRP on Farm Implements and Machinery in addition to AICRP on UAE.

They also visited Ergonomics lab and appreciated the work done for the minimization of agricultural accidents. Different power operated farm machines were also showcased.
