She told that hormones are the main reason of hypothyroidism. The symptoms can be fatigue, weight gain, increased cholesterol and excessive sleep. She said that most problem can be eradicated by increasing iodine in food and by reducing weight.
There should be a balanced diet of proteins, carbs and calories. Western food eating habits like pasta, white bread and maida increases the possibility of weight gain which might result in many other diseases.
She also told some prohibited food items in hypothyroidism like maida, white bread, cake, raddish, soyabean, spinach, cauliflower and cabbage, fried cashew, almonds, pickle, papad etc. Plain salad will be a good healer in the disease.
