Indian Traditional Welcome Fascinated GSE Team

GSE team from England’s Rotary District 1290 Cornwell and West Devon felt mesmerized at the traditional welcome and said that these traditions has made Indians ahead of all in the world. A felicitation ceremony was organized by Rotary Club at Rotary Bajaj Bhawan for the team, which is on two days visit to Udaipur, in Indian traditional style.

GSE team from England’s Rotary District 1290 Cornwell and West Devon felt mesmerized at the traditional welcome and said that these traditions has made Indians ahead of all in the world.

A felicitation ceremony was organized by Rotary Club at Rotary Bajaj Bhawan for the team, which is on two days visit to Udaipur, in Indian traditional style.

While introducing the team members, Team Leader, Kaithe Sheepwright said that there is no parallel of Indian style of welcoming in the world. Graham Donaldson, Sofia Goss, Ena Penross, Kaise Thompson and Benjamin Sanders also addressed the gathering.

Dr. Balaji Manohar, who went to England as member of GSE last year, presented a PowerPoint Presentationon on Unified India. Former Prantpal, Nirmal Singhvi said that this program of Rotary International is a medium of cultural exchange between two nations.

Indian Traditional Welcome Fascinated GSE Team Umed Singh Chouhan, Assistant Prantpal also gave a short speech. Girish Mehta, Secretary of the Club presented an outline of the woks undertaken by the Club in the year 2011-12. Before this, the President of the Club, Dr. Nirmal Kunawat told the visiting team about the history of the club and Udaipur. The flags were also exchanged during the function by the Team Leader and all the team members with the members of the Club. The team members were presented with mementos by the Club. In the beginning the programme started with a prayer by Yash Kunawat while vote of thanks was given by Mahadev Damani.
