International Painting Workshop cluster Foreign Artists
Rajasthan’s Premier University, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU), organized a 5 Day International Painting Workshop as a part of its Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations. This Workshop was carried out in association with the Jawahar Lal Nehru Kala Kendra and West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC).
Rajasthan’s Premier University, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU), organized a 5 Day International Painting Workshop as a part of its Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations. This Workshop was carried out in association with the Jawahar Lal Nehru Kala Kendra and West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC).
50 painters, both National and International, participated in this workshop, which is also a first of its kind at University level. The participation from outside India included painters from Pakistan, Israel and Iran.
Today, on the first day of the Workshop, the participants got together at Sangam Hall, Shilpgram, and interacted with each other. Discussions on arts and paintings, both modern and traditional, exchange of ideas and conversations on the changing nature of art and the causes and effects were the primary part of the interaction.
In this 5 days’ Workshop the participants will talk further about painting and the emerging changes in Traditional, contemporary and Modern art.
District Collector Hemant Gera inaugurated the Workshop, in the presence of other dignitaries and senior painters like Dr. Vidyasagar Upadhya, Suresh Sharma and Somendra Sharma, member of Jawahar Lal Nehru Kala Kendra.
The Director of the whole event, Prof. Madan Singh Rathore (Head of Department of Visual Arts, MLSU) said “this event is organized keeping in mind future of arts and artists. I think that I am lucky to host such great artists under one roof and hope that this event turns into a grand success.”
