After forty five days of the Krishna Janmashthami, the Jal Jhoolni Gyaras will be celebrated tomorrow with anticipated huge enthusiasm. The procession called ‘Ram Rewadi’ will follow as the devotees of Thakur Ji will carry him in Silver Palki to the lake Pichola.

At Pichhola, the lord will be given a bath with the new water of the lake. The newly arrived water is considered sacred and pious for bathing the lord.

The devotees join the Rewadis in thousands, sprinkling abir gulal and raining flowers on the lord. People offer prayers and Prasad to Thakur ji and join the procession, on its way to the lake.

People also keep fasts, to offer their heartiest gratitude to their beloved and esteemed god.

The major Rewadis in the city are Jagdish Mandir, Asthal Mandir, Gangu Kund Ayad, Maliwada, Salvi Samaj (Surajpole) etc.

Ram Revadi at City Palace

On the occasion of Jal jhulani Ekadashi, various temples managed by Shri Eklingji Trust will be celebrating the festival on Wednesday by embellishing the temples and the idols of Thakur Ji at City Palace compound. In the evening, Ram Rewadiya, a religious procession will be carried out.
