Navratri festivities got underway today at Kidzee Ambamata PreSchool with amazing zeal amongst the children to celebrate the festival and to commemorate and invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga.

Children made beautiful rangoli out of flowers of different colors at the welcome door. Students came dressed in traditional Garba and Dandiya attire which made for a spectacular treat for everyone to see and relish.

The celebrations started with the beats of the drum blended with garba dance.  Children made their own Dandiya sticks as a part of their activity session; they later used these in a lively Garba and Dandiya performance.  It was followed by three rounds of Garba namely Children Round, Parents Round & Teachers Round.

PlayGroup tots made cute little cloth ‘Ghagras’ with the help of their craft teachers and presented a collage of it, which was loved by all.  Indicating the true essence of Navratri, Kidzee director RK Sharma said, “The festival marks the victory of virtue over vice”.  He further added that along with social development, the aim of the celebration is to make kids truly aware about the traditions and the lessons which they learn.
