Kuwait agrees for a direct flight between Udaipur-Kuwait

Udaipur to Boost Ties between both the nations “Kuwait has no problem to start a direct flight between Udaipur and Kuwait,” said Sami Muhammad Al Sulaiman, Ambassador of Kuwait who was on a 2-days personal visit to Udaipur on 24 &25 Nov. Sulaiman left for New Delhi on Sunday after attending series of meetings with city’s corporate faction.

Udaipur to Boost Ties between both the nations

“Kuwait has no problem to start a direct flight between Udaipur and Kuwait,” said Sami Mohammad Al Sulaiman, Ambassador of Kuwait who was on a 2-days personal visit to Udaipur on 24 &25 Nov. Sulaiman left for New Delhi on Sunday after attending series of meetings with city’s corporate faction.

While admiring the beauty of Udaipur, Kuwaiti ambassador has also shown keen interest in developing various commercial bonds with the city and the state but he clearly indicated that the approach should come by Indian Government.

As per the sources, Mohammad Al Sulaiman arrived in the city on Saturday 24 Nov with his family, due to the effort and coordination by Daulat Singh Bhansali, Conveyor of Sahyog Vision India. A group of representatives from different trades and academics met the ambassador in a meeting held at Hotel Udai Vilas that was hosted by the ambassador himself.

However, during conversation on possibilities of business and commerce between both the nations, the issue of easy transportation was raised,” said D.S Bhansali.

There are more than 6 lakhs Indian working in Kuwait and nearly 50,000 of them are from Southern Rajasthan, but due to lack of direct air services, they have to take flights via Ahmedabad or Mumbai. Udaipur’s Dabok Airport is made on International standards but there are no international flights yet.

While talking to Sulaiman, representatives of Udaipur raised the issue of transportation and agreeing to it, the Kuwaiti ambassador has granted to start a direct flight to Kuwait from Udaipur and said, “We have no problem with it, but ask Indian authorities to send us a letter.”

On the second day, a meeting was held in honor of Sami Mohammad Al Sulaiman by Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (UCCI) under the chairmanship of K.S Mogra, Patron of UCCI and the agenda of the meeting was, “How to develop business ties between India and Kuwait?”

Pointing out the various possibilities in Udaipur including Tourism, Marble and Handicrafts, Sulaiman has put across the long traditional and commercial relationship between both the nations. Kuwait agrees for a direct flight between Udaipur-Kuwait

Various renowned businessmen and industrialists joined the meeting. The eminent personalities including D.S Bhansali, Piyush Bhansali, K.S Mogra, Manmohan Raj Singhvi -Chairman, SS College; Roshanlal Chaplot- Businessman, Dr. Seema Singh- Chairman, Aishwarya College; Mangilal Lunawath- Marble exporter, Gajendra Bhansali- President Handicraft Association, Dr. Vjaylaxmi Chouhan- Sahyog Vision India, Aditya Kumar Chaturvedi of JK Cement, R.P Singh- DGM, JK Cement; Kamal Sharma- Artist, Ali Asghar, Hakim Tidiwala, Abbas Bhalamwala and Ramesh Modi were present in the meeting.

“UCCI will contact administrative authorities regarding flight between Udaipur-Dubai-Kuwait, although we are very positive about it but let’s see how and when we can get the output,” said Bhansali.
