Law College Tense over admission issueSome of the students from Chatra Sangarsh Samiti (CSS) expressed their annoyance with the administration at the College of Law today morning, over an admission related issue.

They blamed Anand Paliwal, Dean of the College for not allowing 14 of their student activists to take admission in the LLM MBA course.

Later soon after the mass protest, the Dean agreed for the admission of students that were put on hold.

“The Dean allegedly abused and misbehaved with us when we asked him why the students were restricted from getting admission”, said Dilip Joshi, President, CSS.

Joshi summarized further that the Law College has allegedly become an office for the ABVP activities.

Rejecting all the allegations of CSS, Anand Paliwal clarified that none of the members from the College administration used abusive language or such against any of the students.

Anand Paliwal further said, “The students came to me with their queries regarding the LLM MBA course admissions. When I saw them growing aggressive, I informed the police to handle the matter. I immediately reported this incident to the Vice Chancellor”.

Our Dean was threatened to life by some anti-social elements. We strongly oppose such behaviour and that too with our teacher”, said Gaurav Lodha, leader, ABVP.

“The admissions were impeded because the final verdict is still being awaited from court,” said Paliwal.

According to sources, a petition was filed in court over the late admission procedure of LLM MBA course and since then there was a stay after the last date of admission got over.

However, though Admission forms of students were accepted by the Dean, admissions were not assured before the final verdict from the court.
