Certain localities of Udaipur city have reportedly become “addas” for criminals. Residents of Ashok Vihar at University road have registered a complaint with Bhupalpura police station that their colony has become an easy catch for criminals and miscreants.

Incidents of chain snatching, theft, vanadalism and eve-teasing have increased in Ashok Vihar. Every other day these miscreants break window panes of cars parked in the colony, chain snatching has also become very frequent and episodes of eve teasing has become such a nuisance that residents have appealed to the police to take quick and strict action for protection of the colony. Bike stunts are also common in this area.

Even one of the posh localities of the city, Polo Ground, is under terror from such miscreants. Most of the time, these youth park their vehicles on road side near Mansarovar Vatika and consume alcohol and throw bottles on the road. There is no night watch by police in this colony. Residents have appealed to police to take action against these people who drink in their cars and create terror for people living there.
