Maharana Shambhu Singh’s diary pages now in a Book

The book ‘Hakikat Bahida Maharana Shambhu Singh,’ containing the 14 years (1861 to 1874) of dairy pages of Mewar’s King Maharana Shambhu Singh was launched by Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation’s Chairman Arvind Singh Mewar.

The book ‘Hakikat Bahida Maharana Shambhu Singh,’ containing the 14 years (1861 to 1874) of diary pages of Mewar’s King Maharana Shambhu Singh was launched by Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation’s Chairman Arvind Singh Mewar.

 Administration officer of the foundation, Bhupendra Singh Ahuwa said that the first part of the book contains 561 pages and the second part has 746 pages. The pages include information pertaining to his work tenure such as royal wedding, alms, religious ceremonies, foreign guests & officers, Shambhu Ratna School, development & entertainment, artists, transportation means, information about havelis and festivals of Mewar etc.

In the book, the information related to the Shambhu Ratna School which has been restored in the present time as Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Jagdish Chawk is also given in brief. The book published by Maharana Mewar Historical Publications Trust has compilations from Maharana Mewar Research Center.

The price of the first part of the book is Rs. 450 and the other part is of Rs. 550. Advantageous for history students and researchers, the book is available at the Udaya Museum Book Shop, situated at City Palace Museum.
