An Inter-state Singing Competition was held at Meera Girls (MG) College Udaipur in which students from 13 Government College of Rajasthan took part in Group Singin

 
Meera Mahotsav ended with Singing competitions

An Inter-state Singing Competition was held at Meera Girls (MG) College Udaipur in which students from 13 Government College of Rajasthan took part in Group Singing, Solo Classical Singing and Solo Light Singing competitions.

The government colleges of Barmer, Ratangarh, Churu, Kota, Bundi, Jalawar,Sirohi, Beawar, Banswara, Dungarpur, Bhilwara and Nathdwara and Udaipur participated in the event.

Rajni Dangi, Chairperson of Municipal Corporation and Mahipal Singh, President of Marble Association were the Chief Guests while Gajendra Samar from Marble Association was the special guest for the event.

Meera Mahotsav ended with Singing competitions

In all, 22 participants took part in the competitions. Vibha and group from Government College, Bundi won first prize in Group song while Shreya Paliwal and group from MG College, Udaipur stood second and Manish Adiwal and group from Government College, Sirohi came third.

The competition was judged by Prof. A. Kavitkar, R.K Gosh and Madna Bhanawat.

In Solo Classical Singing Competition, Vandana Singh from MG College, Udaipur stood first and Manish from P.G College, Sirohi secured second position.

Urmi Sharma from MLV Government College, Bhilwara stood first, Sunny Messi from Government College, Bundi and Anuradha Jalwani of Government Bangar College, Bundi remained on 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The prizes were given away by Prof. Krishnaram , Dr. Vijaylaxmi Surana, Vice-principal, Dr. Poonam Joshi and Dr. Shashi Sachiher. Shalu Verma from Meera Girls College was the winner of Consolation prize.

“Winners are awarded with certificates and cash prizes as per their winning positions,” said Dr. Poonam Joshi.
