M.L.S.U celebrates ‘National Integration Week’
Under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, ‘National Integration Week’, from 19th to 25th November was celebrated under the aegis of Department of Tourism & Hotel Management, M.L.S. University, Udaipur.
Under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, ‘National Integration Week’, from 19th to 25th November was celebrated under the aegis of Department of Tourism & Hotel Management, M.L.S. University, Udaipur.
Each day of the week was celebrated under a theme. The department had organised different programmes on each day and the students as well as the faculty had shown their enthusiasm in every programme.
On the theme, ‘National Integration Day’, students had participated in a seminar titled ‘Role of Tourism in National Integration’. In the seminar, the students had put up their views on national building through tourism enhancement.
Students had come up with their innovative poems and songs of different regions of India and in different language to celebrate the ‘Linguistic Harmony Day’. The reason of celebrating ‘Linguistic Harmony Day’ was to appreciate the linguistic heritage of other parts of India.
On ‘Cultural Unity Day’ the learners had shown their creative minds and did a play titled ‘ekta mein anekta’, students had presented folk dances of different states. The ‘Cultural Unity Day’ was organised to present the Indian Tradition of unity in diversity and for promoting cultural conservation and integration.
On ‘Women’s day’ a symposium ‘Women are the Small fish of a Big Pond’ was organised to discuss the importance of women in Indian society and their role in the development of nation- building. The students had turned up with very effective speech and poems which had forced each and every member sitting in the hall to think over the contribution of women at their home and in nation building.
At last, the ‘Conservation Day’ was celebrated by the plantation from the hands of each and every member, students as well as faculty of the Department. The students bought the plants from the forest Department and planted here in the Department.
Dr. Ashok Singh Rathore. Programme Officer, N.S.S programme were present in each gathering and had interacted with the students. The programme was organised under the supervision of Research Scholar Ranjana Tiwari.
The faculty members Dr. L.S. Jodhana, Ms. Nikita Maheshwari, Ms. Sonam Arora, Mrs. Kusumlata Sharma, and Mr. Jaipraksh Patidar had actively participated in the programme and time to time came up with their own thoughts to enlighten the students.
