Mothers’ Day Week Celebrated by Lions’ Club and JSG Main
‘Sangini’ Mothers’ Day week was celebrated in combined association of JSG Main and Lions’ Club at Archie hotel. Chief Guest of the event was Surajmal Porwal-Joint Secratory of eye-Bank Society of Rajasthan. Group head Shakuntala Porwal welcomed everyone.

Surajmal Porwal in his speech said that the institution was established in 2002 in Jaipur. There is a unit of eye-bank society of Rajasthan in Udaipur as well. Members of this eye bank acquire the cornea of the dead within 7-8 hours and transplant it without any cost to the needy ones.
A person can donate eyes till he/she is 70 yrs of age. Minister Lakshmi Kothari said that why should not one donate their eyes when the eyes remain alive for few more hours even after demise. All women present there filled up the confirmation letter for eye donation.
Group members also expressed that a country like India is fortunate to live with their parents and thus every day for Indians is mothers’ day and fathers’ day.
