NCC Sailing Expedition Camp at Fateh Sagar
110 cadets from Rajasthan Naval Units to undergo intensive boat training over a period of 10 days
Udaipur, Nov 12, 2025 - A Sailing Expedition Camp, carried out under the supervision of the NCC Directorate, Rajasthan Jaipur, and the NCC Group Headquarters, Udaipur, began at Fateh Sagar on Tuesday, November 11, after inauguration by Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Ojha and Commanding Officer Shakeel Ahmed.
In the camp, organised by the Raj Naval Unit Udaipur, 110 cadets are being given boat training.
Commander Ahmed shared that cadets from all three Naval units of the Directorate are participating in the 10-day camp. Cadets will practice sailing approximately 50 km daily in a whaler boat and over a span of 10 days they will cover around 415 km.
During the training, cadets are not only being taught the technical aspects of sailing but are also gaining experience in decision-making under real conditions and in teamwork coordination.
Commander GO Mathew is in charge of the camp whereas Pradeep Kumar, Chief Instructor of the Udaipur PI Staff, will be the trainer.
