Udaipur, Nov 4, 2025 - The Neemuch Mata Temple, famous as the Vaishno Devi of Udaipur, will soon be seen in a new form. The Tourism Department has approved a budget of Rs 49.42 lakh for the development and renovation of the temple. This amount has been transferred to the Department of Archaeology and Museums, after which work will soon begin in the temple premises.

According to reports, Anand Kumar Tripathi, Additional Director (Development) of the Tourism Department, has sent the approved funds to the Department of Archaeology and Museums. As per the budget, Rs 5.23 lakh will be spent on temple restoration, and Rs 1.29 lakh will be used for repairing the temple walls.

An amount of Rs 2.99 lakh will be spent on constructing an MS grill within the temple premises, Rs 21.13 lakh on building a new floor and pathway from the main entrance, Rs 14.43 lakh on repairing the stairs, Rs 2.05 lakh on improving the toilets, and Rs 1.10 lakh on repairing the cement benches.

Last year, six tourists were injured when a wall collapsed near the railing on the hill while they were taking photos. Temple caretaker Mayank Kumawat said that after the incident, a memorandum was submitted to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Minister of Devasthan Joraram Kumawat and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, informing them about the condition of the temple and the need for renovation. Following this, the proposal prepared by the Devasthan Department was included in the Budget.

Now, with the release of the approved funds, development work in the temple premises is set to begin, ensuring that devotees and tourists will soon have access to improved facilities.
