A large number of people attended the function and blessed all newlywed couples. Dr. C.P. Joshi, Minister of Road Transport and Highways has also given his blessings to the couples and praised the initiative by the Tailik Sahu Samaj Seva Samiti and appreciated the arrangements.
With the custom of Toran at morning 10 a.m, the function went ahead with Samuh Milan where all the brides and grooms took blessings from their elders.
Bhanwarlal Asrama, President of the Seva Samiti says, “we wanted to make this wedding a noble wedding, hence asked all brides, grooms and their parents to take pledge for not killing the female child.”
“Where mass wedding minimizes the expense of the wedding, it also generates a bonding between the people of the community”, says Bhanwarlal.”
The 21st Mass Wedding held last year was also special as the Cricket World Cup was going on; the wedding was themed accordingly and featured in the international media circuit.
