When the world is at your fingertips there is no sky to define the limits of getting tech savvy. Choosing your soulmate through online portals is passé. The new fad is govt initiative of facilitating the online registration of marriages.

A portal named ‘Pehchan’ has been launched by Rajasthan govt and statistics dept which will make the marriage registration easier through portal.

Puneet Sharma, Asst Director of statistics told that applicant would need to send firstly address proof and id proof along with one combined photo of the bride and groom and one separate photos of both which will be uploaded in jpeg format. The fee for registration will be 10 rupees earlier and then 100 rupees with in thirty days of applying.

These soft copies of documents will be verified and a sms will be sent by the registrar for the same. After which bride and groom would need to meet the registrar face to face with the hard co-pies of all these documents and birth certificate and wedding card.
