[PHOTOS] FS Ready to Overflow, Excitement Mounting Up…

Today the day was exceptionally dry after continuous rainfall since past few days in Udaipur. But, the craze to see the overflow at Swaroop Sagar Lake and much awaited overflow at Fateh Sagar Lake could not stop Udaipurites to kick their bikes and take an amazing drive around these lakes with families and friends. Last year overflow at  Fateh Sagar( FS)  coincided with the occasion of Eid which added extra joy to the festivities going on in the city and this year too with Eid the lakes are all ready for the same. Though, this year FS is taking a little more time to pour out and now locals are waiting, holding their breath to witness this socially, culturally and emotionally cultivated moment which is close to the heart of every Udaipurite in the world. Pichola, the biggest lake of Udaipur is already brimming from its outlet at Lake Swaroop Sagar. FS level was slightly above 11.5 feet till today evening  and the lake needs  about 1.5 feet of water to touch the highest level of 13 feet. Expecting a huge number of people visiting lakes, the administration has already declared it one-way route for time being. However, words are not enough to express our sentiments attached with the lakes and when it comes to overflow our faces and eyes speak much more than words can afford to do. After all these are our lifelines. So, here are just a few snaps clicked by UT contributor Shekhar Sharma who visited the lake around 9 am this morning.
