2 ^nd College Level Convocation of CTAE and CDFST culminated today with grand celebration at Sukhadia University Auditorium at 10 am. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder Chairman of Amity Education Group and Amity University. In his convocation address he called this day historical for all including head, faculty, students and parents. He said that he could visualize confidence in the eyes of the teaching fraternity of the college. Dr. Chauhan who spent 29 years in Germany urged the students to take care of the moral and spiritual values inculcated in them by the teachers and the parents. He further added, “To achieve higher aim in life confidence, hard work and faith are very important. Today’s life is fast moving and he defined this ‘BHAG’ as B for Behavior, H for Hard work, A for Attitude and Ambition, and G for God. This is the formula of success in life.” He called the students leader of tomorrow and wished for their better future. The ceremony was presided over by the vice-chancellor of MPUAT, Prof. S.S. Chahal who in his presidential address presented the biographical sketch of the chief guest.

He said that Dr. Chauhan is a successful educationist, scientist, institution builder, philosopher and an idealistic industrialist. After getting higher education in Chemical Engineering he worked in Dettwiller Institute as President of Research and Development.

Dean CTAE, Dr. N.S. Rathore informed that 529 students were awarded B.E. degree while 98 students were conferred with B.Tech (Dairy & Food) degree in the convocation for the year 2009-10 and 2010-11. 332 students marked their presence to take their degrees. They were honoured by the Vice-chancellor in the presence of the chief guest.

The Controller of Examination, Virendra Nepalia, said that gold Medals were given to the 15 students; 11 from CTAE and 4 from CDFST. Ankita Jain and Arpita Nagori received Gold Medal for securing second position in the university in the final exams for the year 2009-10 and 2010-11.

Nepalia said “It is for the first time that Irrigation Gold Medal was given to the students who remained on the second position in Agricultural Engineering. However, it is a matter of immense pleasure that of 17 gold medals 12 were awarded to girls.”
