Poets stretch humorous insight in Hasya Kavi Sammelan

As a part of the celebrations for the upcoming Mahaveer Jayanti, the 13th Poet Convention was held last night of 31st March at the Muktakashi Rangmanch of Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal. The program was organized by Mahaveer Yuva Manch, a youth group of the Jain community. Hundreds of community members including prominent business personalities, social workers and politicians were also present in the function.

Poetries on social, religious and political issues were narrated by various prominent poets from many parts of the country including Balkavi Beragi, poet and song writer from Manasa, Arjun Sisodia (Gaziabad), Anjum Rehbar (Bhopal), Kamlesh Sharma (Itawa), Sandeep Sharma (Dhar), Deepak Gupa (Delhi), Rambabu Sikarwal (Dholpur), Ashok Charan (Jaipur), Rao Ajat Shatru (Udaipur).

Indian Idol contestant Soumya Talesra also presented a song which was followed by the felicitation ceremony.

Neeraj Singhvi, President of Mahaveer Yuva Manch has said that the award of Young Poet was given to Gaurav Golcha for his latest poetry ‘Vani’.  This year’s Kavi Sammelan was dedicated to young entrepreneur and social worker Late Abhay Karanpuria.

Many other personalities who were honored for their work for society were Kiranmal Savan sukha, Gajendra Bhansali, Pushpendra Parmar, Shyam Sunder Badala and Sundarlal Daglia.

Other awardees were Rajkumar Surana, Dinesh Chordia and Sunil Kukda

The honorable guests of the event were Shantilal Chaplot MLA; Madhu Mehta, district head; Rajni Dangi’ Udaipur Nagar Parishad Chairman; and Kantilal Jain, social worker.

The program was preceded by Chief Convenor of the association, Pramod Samar who introduced the purpose of the event.  It was followed by an oath taking ceremony of the new executive committee.
