Work on Elevated road proposed between Court Circle and Udiapol is expected to start soon after UIT Budget for the session 2012-13. Work on completing the requisite formalities for road construction will be started on a priority basis after the Budget.

The Ground Survey for the elevated road has already been completed in the month of February and DPR (Daily Project Report) forwarded to Roop Kumar Khurrana, Chairman, UIT. Though the pace of work was retarded due to UIT budget, but the project is soon expected to gain momentum as per information received from higher officials at UIT.

Once the formalities related to the road construction are completed, the first stage of construction related to central marking for the bridge will be started. This will help ascertain the actual position of flyover and give an idea on the potential impact on different business units in the construction zone.

Anil Nepalia, Executive Engineer, UIT said that UIT has already informed concern departments for shifting various utilities falling under the construction zone. We have been given timelines by these departments so that they can carry out the requisite survey and shift the utilities in a systematic manner.

Anit Mathur, Executive Engineer, UIT informed UT team that because of the budget preparation, not much attention could be given to the project, after budget, the project will acted upon on a priority basis.
