“Rajiv Surti Dance Factory”, a dance academy is setting up shop in Udaipur, at Hiran Magri, Sec 4.

The dance academy will be teaching all forms of classical and western dance forms including contemporary bollywood, salsa, hip-hop, b-boing, kathak, etc.

At a press conference organized by the franchisee, Leena Sharma and Sumit Lekhari, Leena informed UT that the academy will commence operations at 3 pm on 16^th January, 2012.

Rajiv Surti, in 19 year old career, has come up as a well-known name in the Bollywood choreography circle. Over the last few years, Rajiv has choreographed many songs, well known among them being “Mera Hi Jalwa” in the Salman Khan starrer Wanted.

Having seen him as a judge in the TV show, Dance India Dance doubles competition; one can see his work once again in upcoming films, “Ek Mein aur Ek Tu” and “Jodi Breakers”.

Kathak and other semi classical dance forms will be taught at the dance academy by Leena Sharma, who is a trained dancer and has trained under the famous actor and dance guru Gopi Krishna. She is currently pursuing her degree course in Kathak from the Kala Ashram College of Fine Arts.

Sumit Lekhari, the other teacher at the academy will be teaching the other dance forms at the academy. Sumit has trained under Rajiv for over a year and is currently his assistant choreographer.

At the inauguration on January 16, Rajiv Surti will himself address the audience and take a one hour free dance session for the participants.

The Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony will be Kailash Jain, industrialist; and the Special Guest will be Shwetasha Jain, who has recently represented Rajasthan in the National Make-up Competition.

Rajiv Surti Dance Factory is located at Plot No. 15, Third Floor, Riddhi-Siddhi complex, Hiran Magri, Sector 4, Udaipur.
