Rotary's District Governor Examined the Projects of Rotary Meera

It is a moment of pride and honor for Udaipur’s Rotary Club (Meera) when the Rotary’s District Governor Ratnesh Kashyap who is on an official visit to Udaipur took out time to learn about the developments made by the Rotary’s women oriented group over the past few years.

Today in the series of programs at different places, Ratnesh Kashyap also visited Techno NJR Research Center to see the developments in computer training for senior citizens, one of the projects initiated by Rotary Meera which is supported by Techno NJR College.

Explaining the key projects taken this year, Veena Sanadhya, President of Rotary Meera said, “We have focused on Women, Senior Citizens and on the personality development of Youth.”

The club has started Sangini Project for senior citizens that comprised of computer education, Senior Citizen Hours and Phone-a-Friend. The projects were undertaken by Neelima Khetan and Nilu Javeria.

Speaking on the project Badhte Kadam, Veena Sandhya said that the project is for Eco Restoration and designed according to the local necessities and under the project they hosted a graphic designing competition on Think Blue, Environment Friendly Technology, slogan competition, fancy dress etc.

Founded on 10 January 1992, Rotary Meera has 81 members who are contributing to the development of various social projects under the leadership of Veena Sanadhya (President) and Devika Singhvi (Secretary).

The Club also organized a car rally on International Women’s Day and conducted many lively programs on World Peace Day, Literacy Day etc.

Various workshops and seminars for social and personal development were also conducted this year by Rotary Meera.
