Royal Couple Departs with Sweet Memories

With memories of the cherished time spent in the city of lakes, the land of Maharana Pratap, Bhutan’s royal couple, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and his wife Jetsun Pema Wangchuk returned to Delhi today by Air India’s special aircraft at 9:40 in the morning.

 

Royal Couple Departs with Sweet MemoriesWith memories of the cherished time spent in the city of lakes, the land of Maharana Pratap, Bhutan’s royal couple, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and his wife Jetsun Pema Wangchuk returned to Delhi today by Air India’s special aircraft at 9:40 in the morning.

During their three days stay in Udaipur the newlywed King and Queen of Bhutan visited City Palace, Crystal Gallery, Jagmandir and also paid tribute to Maharana Pratap at Moti Magri.

They were fascinated by the scenic beauty of Lake Fateh Sagar and also admired the rich historical and cultural heritage of Mewar, especially the history of Battle of Haldighati, loyalty of Chetak; Maharana Pratap’s horse and the help extended by Hakim Khan Suri mesmerized them.

The couple was given a warm bid adieu at the airport today morning by Rajni Dangi- Chairperson, Udaipur Municipal Council; Govind Gupta- Inspector General of Police; Hemant Gera-District Collector and Alok Vasishta -Superintendent of Police.
