Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED) in association with Udaipur based NGO Sadhna, has organized a 15 day workshop on craftwork at Godga Village which concluded on Thursday, 1st March. The workshop was attended by 20 tribal women who learned the work of patchwork and craft design by Sadhna and TRIFED. Leela Vijayvargiya chief coordinator of Sadhna said “It is to make tribal women professionally independent and for the same, TRIFED has launched a nationwide movement.” All participants received certificates after completing the workshop. Later, on the same day, Sadhna also commenced an exhibition cum sale to promote the products made by the members and volunteers. The exhibition was inaugurated by the regional head of TRIFED, Purnima Rao Mundel. Leela Vijayvargiya has appealed everyone to buy the products made by women volunteers to encourage and support their skills.
