A poisonous snake was rescued today by Padam Singh Rathore of Wild and Street Animal Rescue Society, from a house in Devali village after it bit the house owner’s daughter. The house belonged to Devilal Bhat.

Padam Singh reached the house and identified the snake as saw scaled viper. He said that it was a rarely found species and its poison can kill a patient if not given a proper treatment. Saw scaled vipers rank 3rd in the list of most poisonous snakes in India.

Devilal’s daughter was first taken to MB hospital and later was transferred to GBH American hospital.

Padam Singh said that people should not be afraid of snakes and they must not kill them. If anybody in Udaipur and nearby villages spots one, then they should call Animal Rescue Society at 9414234826 (Padam Singh Rathore).
