The night echoed with the melodious fusion of the eastern and western music at Shilpgram on 16th November. In a musical night 'Smritiyan' organised by Pt. Chaturlal Memorial Society where maestros from the music fraternity enchanted the audience.

The night echoed with the melodious fusion of the eastern and western music at Shilpgram on 16th November. In a musical night ‘Smritiyan’ organised by Pt. Chaturlal Memorial Society where maestros from the music fraternity enchanted the audience.

The program started when Salil Bhatt played his fingers on his slide guitar and German based Matthias Muller pulled his guitar strings. The fusion of ‘East meets West’ played by the duo had the tunes of contemporary, folk and classical with jazz music. Pranshu Chaturlal joined them on percussion.

The performance by Pt. Sudhir Pandey on Tabla and Vinay Sharma on Harmonium created a unique melody for all to swing along.

The night shone with all its glory with the last performance ‘Sufi Raago ki Jugalbandi’ which saw eminent Flute player Pt. Ronu Mazumdar who mesmerized the audience with his musical notes. He played the tunes from his albums ‘Traveler’s Tales’ and ‘Dancing with the wind.’ Roop Kumar Rathore, ghazal and sufi singer, accompanied the maestro with his soothing voice. His euphonic voice resonated in the ambiance.
