The Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) constructed a beautiful Ship shaped structure on the bank of Goverdhan Sagar, but this eye catching construction is still waiting for its visitors, as UMC has not inaugurated it officially.

According to Prem Singh Shaktawat, President, Development Committee, UMC, “This ship building is constructed as a museum dedicated to Meera Bai, where facts relating to her devotion, life etc will be exhibited, and it is also going to be equipped with a garden and an open space for public recreation.”

“The building has been given shape of a small ship or yacht deliberately to add beauty of Lake Goverdhan Sagar. Unfortunately its formal opening is delayed due to Election and Code of Conduct across Rajasthan and nobody is allowed to go inside,” added Prem Singh.

Prem Singh further informed that Municipal Corporation invested Rs.60 lac on its construction, which took its final shape in January 2014 and will be inaugurated soon after the Lok Sabha Election.
