Rain although is the main cause of all the happiness and excitement flourishing in the city these days but today on Teacher’s Day it unintentionally ruined all the plans of celebrations in schools and educational institutes of Udaipur. As most of the schools and colleges postponed their Teacher’s Day function for some other day, some schools successfully marked the day in their own way of enjoying the Rainy Day with their teachers and students.
Teachers of Central Public School (CPS) swapped their professional roles with students, teachers acted as students while students tried to act as teachers. The fun filled function was followed by teacher’s picnic.
Mrs. Alka Sharma, Director of CPS dressed herself as a student with that oiled- tight typical student like hair-style and sang the Morning Prayer with other teachers who also turned as students. Students of 11
th and 12
th who dressed like teachers were checking if any ‘student’ misbehaves. “Every year our students dedicate this day for us, performing plays, dances and other cultural programmes, thanking their teachers. This year we thought to do something for our students which could be learning and at the same time entertaining as well, so we decided to swap our roles and teachers turned students and students turned teachers for some time”, said Alka Sharma. The exchanging of positions definitely turned helpful for both real teachers and students to come closer and understand the duties and responsibilities of each other.
This year’s Teacher’s Day celebration at CPS will be remembered for long. UT wishes CPS and its staff and students a very Happy Teacher’s Day!
