Surya Prakash Suhalka and his team won the famed Treasure Hunt 2011 held today at Oriental Palace Resorts. 84 cars were seen running down the city’s lanes to find out the treasure by 15 clues given to each participating team. Treasure Hunt 2011was organized by Udaipur Lakecity Roundtable in order to raise funds for poor children. The event started at around 11pm amid medium rain showers. The flag off ceremony was carried out by B.R. Bhati, Additional District Collector after lighting the lamp and wishing all the best to the contestants The leading car was the infamous Volkswagen Beetle while another car well decorated with tricolored balloons and messages from Anna Hazare attracted most of the people present in the event. The event was hosted by Anchor Piyush and Agni Band showcased beautiful music to amuse the crowd. “Our national agenda is ‘freedom through education’ and by this event we are looking to raise fund to build additional classrooms and provide other necessary facilities to a middle school located at Devra Magri,” says Tr. Sandeep Singhvi in a press conference. Adding further Sandeep, the chartered chairman of Roundtable Udaipur says, “This is the third edition of Treasure Hunt. We personally bear all the expenses of this event as we have two separate accounts for projects and fellowship.” Surya Prakash Suhalka won the first prize while Sanjay Agarwal and Mayank Sharma won the second and third prize respectively. The event was sponsored by Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital and co-sponsored by Sunrise Education Group and Volkswagen Udaipur.
