A rally was organized today to mark the birth anniversary of Rana Punja, one of the most faithful companions of Maharana Pratap. The rally attended by tribal youth from Udaipur and nearby places offered their gratitude to Rana Punja and his sacrifices.

Started from Mohta Park, the rally concluded at Rana Punja’s monument at Moti Magri.

Devilal Dhana, president of the Rana Punja Jayanti Samaroh Samiti informed that they are celebrating this day for the last 10 years and since the last three years the celebration has spread to the whole Udaipur region.

Rana Punja was the leader of Bhils, the indigenous tribe of Mewar and he supported Maharana Pratap in his fight against the Mughals.
