A two-day smart city vision document-2015 seminar was conducted at Vigyan Samiti, Ashoknagar in combined association of Vigyan Samiti, Rotary Club, Mahaveer International and Prabuddh Chintan Prakoshth. Dr. B. L. Khameshra-Ex-MD of electricity distribution department, Jodhpur, emphasized on the need of electricity which is very vital to turn any city into smart city.

Dr. B. L. Khameshra-Ex-MD of electricity distribution department, Jodhpur, emphasized on the need of electricity which is very vital to turn any city into smart city.

To facilitate this in Udaipur, 15 GSS i.e. grid sub stations will be needed. He also said that if every home gets a solar panel installed of 3 kgWatt, the problem will be solved easily. He told that 15% energy production is targeted from solar resources.

He said that electricity needs to be produced with carbon nano tube in future. If every home gets a 3kgwatt solar panel of rs.2 lacs, a unit of around 4,500 electricity will be produced out of it. G. S. Tak- retired engineer of public construction department said that keeping the population of 8 lac in mind, the city should be planned accordingly for flyover, underpasses and road networks.

A floating platform on Pichola and Gangaur Ghat, A 4 feet wide bridge at Amba Mata Puliya and underpass on Thokar Choraya needs to be built. Dr. L. K. Bhatnagar- ex-head of RNT Medical College told about another required aspect of a smart city which is Telemedicine. One dispensary on every 15 thousand people and one diagnostic centre on every 50 thousand people is necessary.

Dr. L. L. Dhakar-retired director of MPUAT told that there is no need of flyovers in the city and the problem can be easily solved by road networks. He also told that if govt. Offices are shifted to their reserved places, many problems will be solved.
