Nagda Restaurant-Keshav Nagar Road: UDA Switches to 80-ft Master Plan
Udaipur, Aug 11, 2025 - Owing to obstacles in widening the Nagda Restaurant–Keshav Nagar Road to 40 feet, the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) has now initiated work on the 80-feet road that was previously proposed in the Master Plan. If implemented, the route will stretch from the new Ashoka Palace junction, passing through Raj Darbar Restaurant and in front of Aishwarya College, eventually connecting to University Road. This new 1.5-kilometer route will provide direct connectivity for Keshav Nagar residents.
Of the total length, 900 metres of the road is already 80 feet wide; only 600 metres face obstructions. Of this, 300 metres is government land, and negotiations are required only for the remaining 300 metres of private land. Once completed, residents of Keshav Nagar will have easier access to 100 Feet Shobhagpura Road via the 80-feet road, several lanes and Ashoka Palace junction.
Local MLA Tarachand Jain, along with Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) officials, inspected the site and discussed the plan. In the first phase, UDA will focus on widening four key junctions before progressing with this road development.
Proposed Route
Ashoka Palace → Raj Darbar Restaurant → Aishwarya College → University Road → Amroodon Ki Badi → Sanskrit College → Community Hall → Sun Tower → New Keshav Nagar → Bhuwana Bypass
New Road to Connect to Bhuwana Bypass
From Amroodon Ki Badi, a T-point road will branch out, passing through Sanskrit College, Community Hall and Sun Tower, and will pass the Q Wing of New Keshav Nagar, eventually connecting to Bhuwana Bypass via the new RTO Road.
600 Metres Pending in 1.5 km Stretch
From Ashoka Palace to Raj Darbar Restaurant, a 140-metre stretch is already 80 feet wide. The next 100-metre segment, which includes farmland, is pending land conversion. Another 240 metres, up to Trinity Residency and Chandanwadi, already has an 80-feet road.
After a 200-metre disputed patch, the road near Sanskrit College resumes at 80 feet width.
