Udaipur, Aug 23, 2025 - Atal Park, located in the middle of Sub City Centre, will be redeveloped on the lines of Sukhadia Circle by the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA). An approval of Rs 4.35 crore has been issued for the project. This development is expected to provide the city with a new tourist attraction.

The proposal was prepared by UDA following the request of Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena. UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain said the beautification plan for the park was created after discussions with MLA Meena, UDH Secretary Hemendra Nagar, Engineering Director Sanjeev Sharma and others.

Atal Park spans an area of approximately 135,500 square feet. As per the proposal, a 27,000 square foot pond will be constructed to allow paddle boating, similar to Sukhadia Circle. For morning walks, a 100-metre-long and 10-feet-wide footpath will be built around the outer perimeter of the park. Inside the park, a 425-metre-long footpath and a 43,000 square foot garden will also be developed.

Additional features will include an open gym, swings and play equipment for children, a cafeteria, and toilet blocks. A 20,000 square foot parking area and a tube well have also been proposed.

Additionally, in response to MLA Meena’s request, the Nandeshwar Mahadev site will also undergo development. Necessary approvals for this project will be issued soon. Once developed, the site is expected to attract more tourists.
