Udaipur, June 24, 2025 – The Udaipur Nagar Nigam has launched a 24x7 cleanliness initiative at select locations across the city. The aim is to enhance beauty and hygiene in the city for both residents and tourists.
A special team has been formed for this purpose whose job will be to continuously monitor and maintain cleanliness at designated spots.
This cleanliness campaign was officially launched on June 23 at 8:30 pm at Sukhadia Circle in the presence of Udaipur District Collector Namit Mehta, Udaipur Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash, Additional District Collector Deependra Singh, former Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, social worker Gajpal Singh, Health Officer Satyanarayan and Executive Engineer Lakhan Lal Bairwa.
Members of this special team were felicitated with shawls with the message to diligently uphold the city’s cleanliness standards. Collector Mehta said that, for now the initiative will cover eight key locations within the city - especially areas with high tourist footfall - but the coverage will be expanded in the coming days.
He added that the team deployed for round-the-clock duty will not only maintain cleanliness but also work to raise awareness among locals and tourists regarding cleanliness and hygiene.
Health Officer Satyanarayan provided detailed information about the eight selected areas and said that health inspectors have been assigned to monitor each area.
