Renowned Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sumit Singhal has been awarded with Gold Medal for his research in the field of plastic and micro surgeries.
Renowned Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sumit Singhal has been awarded with Gold Medal for his research in the field of plastic and micro surgeries. Dr. Singhal is honored in a recently held conference of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSICON 2011) in Coimbatore.
The infra-red thermography technique which is widely used in Industries can now also be used in micro and plastic surgeries by which it can check the wound of injured patient deeply and help in giving better treatment.
Dr. Sumit Singhal has been researching on this technology from last several years and submitted his studies in APSICON 2011, a yearly conference of Indian plastic surgeons where he was acclaimed for his work and honored with a certificate and cash prize.
Dr. Singhal told that this is a first occasion in the world where research on particular subject has been presented in a national conference. After completion of this research it would be easier to treat patients who get injured in accidents if their hands and legs are badly damaged or burnt and also those who are suffering from gangrene due to diabetes.
In the conference many junior as well as retired doctors have also submitted their research works. Amongst all the research studies Dr. Singhal’s work is stated as the best.
Dr. Sumit Singhal has informed us that the honor he has received is in the memory of world’s top plastic surgeon Dr. Eric Peet who revolutionized the science of plastic surgery in India by new researches and developments.
