In the present Technology driven world, where Electronic media is gaining popularity, print media still holds a very important place in society.

Even now, the traditional morning tea is incomplete without the Newspaper. Print media is an important medium and at places, still the only medium to deliver information to remote areas.

These thoughts were expressed by media persons in a Symposium organized on the occasion of National Press Day in a newly established Media Centre at Information Bureau, Udaipur.

The seminar was jointly organized on the topic “Importance of Electronics and Print Media in the Present times” by Information and Publicity Bureau and Czar Institution.

He also informed about the government’s plan to enhance medical facilities for the journalists, increase in the rate of advertisements, technical up gradation of the department, technical training to the staff members and extending other such facilities including establishment of Media Centers at the district headquarters.

Senior Journalist, Dr. Tuktak Bhanawat said, “Media has disciplined and controlled Democracy. Media has become the life line of the nation and the importance of both Print and Electronic Media is unquestionable.”

Shailesh Vyas, the Editor of Jai Rajasthan stressed on the need of a Code of Conduct for media, while Dr. Munesh Arora, the representative of the Punjab Kesari said that media is playing an important role in arousing awareness and educating the masses.

Zee News correspondent, Vinod Molparia emphasized that print media should make programmes keeping in mind all the sections of the society.

Many other journalists including Jagdish Vijayvargiya, Sunil Kumar Dasora, Sampat Bapna, Fatehlal Menaria, Sunil Dixit, etc. were present in the seminar.
