It’s good news for foreign and non Hindi speaking tourists; with no more hassles in finding the right way while roaming in the city as the Municipal Corporation of Udaipur has installed newly made road sign boards (cantilevers) written in English.

Needless to take any acknowledgment; but UT had stated this problem more than a year back as sign/direction board should be in both English and Hindi keeping in mind that Udaipur is a well known city in the world, not only as a tourist spot, but also favorite for corporate parties, royal weddings and film shootings.

In a recent development which came to light at some key places of the city, new sign boards have been installed at Delhi Gate, Shastri Circle, Fatehpura circle, Udiapol, Pula Bridge and Fatehsagar road. The re-work contract has been given to N.S Publicity.

M.L Samar, Engineer at the Municipal Council told UT, “Unfortunately, it took too long to install these Cantilevers due to unavoidable circumstances. Finally the work has re started now and we installed it in 7 places of the city.”
