The 57 foot statue of Maharana Pratap, the tallest in the world has completed a major part of its construction journey and is ready to be unveiled in January 2015.  The giant statue, built with ‘Ashtdhatu’ took three years of diligent labor and approximately Rs. 5 Crore off the coffers.

This mega statue of Maharana Pratap is one of its kind in the world.  The height of the statue was fixed at an odd figure of 57 feet, as the much revered and admired Maharana Pratap lived for 57 years.  The location of Tiger Hills, around 4 kms from Fatehsagar was chosen to illustrate that he spent a major period of his life time in the jungle.

‘Ashtdhatu’, which is an eight metal Alloy consisting of Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc, Lead, Tin, Iron and Mercury has been used primarily in building this massive structure.

The statue was assembled vide the diligent efforts of 40 artists and laborers, using 1100 pieces of ‘Ashtdhatu’ brought in from Jaipur. Om Prakash, Member of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Samiti, informed that it is proposed to unveil this statue in January 2015 in the presence of PMO, Narendra Modi.
