Flagged off from Sri Ganganagar on February 16, 2012 to set a world record; the ‘Powered Harness Hang Gliding’ expedition will reach Udaipur tomorrow, 18th February.

 
Udaipur set to welcome World Record Expedition

Flagged off from Sri Ganganagar on February 16, 2012 to set a world record; the ‘Powered Harness Hang Gliding’ expedition will reach Udaipur tomorrow, 18th February.

“The expedition team is expected to be in Udaipur by 2.40 pm at the Eklingarh Chaavni near Railway Station” says GSO1 Lt. Col. Vikram Singh.

The ten-man team of the pilots led by Colonel Saneev Jarial is attempting to set a world record of ‘non-stop distance to a declared goal’ from Bikaner to Sanderao, covering a distance of 350 kms.

Army Adventure Nodal Centre (Hang Gliding) is conducting this event, which aims at inspiring youth and students to join the Armed Forces and experience Hang Gliding.

The expedition team includes Major Raman Mishra, Naib Subedar Paramjit Singh, Havaldar Mangal Debbarma, Naik Gurmeet Singh, Naik A K Singh, Naik Ravinder, Lance Naik A Selvam, Lance Naik Sanjeev Kumar and Gunner P K Pradhan.
