55 Sikh Pilgrims from Udaipur have left for Nanded, to pay their homage to Takht Sri Huzur Sahib Gurudwara at Nanded, the city situated on the banks of the river Godavari in Maharashtra.

This is for the first time that a group of Sikh pilgrims from Udaipur will be visiting the famous Sikh Pilgrimage. A colorful farewell was offered to all pilgrims by hundreds of community members including friends and families of the devotees at Udaipur Railway Station today.

All pilgrims took a train to Chittorgarh, from there they will board the train taking them directly to Nanded. A warm welcome will be given to them on stations en-route, including Neemuch and Khandwa.

At Nanded, the Pilgrims will visit the Gurudwara Takht Sri Huzur Sahib which is famous as the place where the 10^th Sikh, Guru Gobind Singh took his last breath.

From Nanded, the pilgrims might go to Bidar in Karnataka, another holy place in Sikhism. The whole pilgrimage is of 7 days, informed the authorities.
