The wave created by the first episode of the talk-of-the-town TV show “Satyamev Jayate” on the issue of female feticide has started gaining momentum in Udaipur. After the Rajasthan Government swung into action to stop the brutal and illegal practice of killing the unborn girl child, it was now time for the student community of Udaipur to spring into action.

Hundreds of students of MLSU marched today with candles in their hand supporting the cause. The rally was organized under the banner of Chatra Sangarsh Samiti (CSS) which started from Durga Nursery and culminated at Shastri Circle. The message was straight “Stop Killing Girl Child!!”

Professor I.V Trivedi, vice chancellor of MLSU also joined students in the rally. Paramveer Singh Chundawat, president of MLSU student’s union, said that students are the torch-bearers of tomorrow and hence we decided to raise our voice and spread awareness against this inhuman practice.
