A Khadi Plaza is set to be constructed in Udaipur at an estimated cost of Rs 5 Crore. This announcement was made by Shambhu Dayal Badgujar, Chairman, Rajasthan Khadi & Village Industries Board.

Shambhu Dayal is currently on a visit to Udaipur and he made this announcement in a meeting at Information Centre, Mohata park. He also moved around the city and looked for potential place for construction of the plaza. He was accompanied by Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari.

Shambhu Dayal said that work on Khadi Plaza will begin soon after a place is finalised for construction. He said that foundation would be laid within two months of place finalisation and construction will begin soon after.

Besides updates on Khadi Plaza, Shambhu Dayal also took a review on the initiatives of the Government related to Khadi and village development. He made it clear that the department should work for the benefit on the under privileged and should aim at providing large scale employment.
